Parrenthorn High School gardening Club was set up to create some green areas around our school to encourage pupils and staff to take care of and appreciate their environment., as well as promoting an activity that would be fun for both staff and pupils
Everyone needs somewhere to be quiet!
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As long as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles. –

Hi my name is Fiona lynch I work at parrenthorn High School and along with Karen Tansey, Michelle Banning and Rachel Judge we have launched what we hope is to be a successful gardening club for all staff and pupils.
After thought Just spoke to my brother in the Highlands and said how the garden had brought people together reminded me of the movie "field of dreams" and the famous line "If you build it they will come!"
